This little widget picks out colours from a photo of your choice, and generates a pallette for you.
It works better with images that already have 2 or 3 dominant colours.

James, I see you're still reading .net magazine. ;)
That's a nice little gizmo isn't it?

Indeed! :geek:
Actually, it's got a lot better this last six months. There seem to be very few decent web design mags (maybe because most designers get their info from the web?) but .net is good.

It has indeed. In fact, it's the only paper magazine for web design that comes close to being any good. They have now got some very good contributors and the articles are excellent.

Hmmm, glad I have some holiday coming up - the last three issues have so far sat on a shelf untouched! I see they're now advertising podcasts - has anyone had a listen?

Greetings peeps, I've just registered on the forum and saw this thread on .net. I haven't read this mag for a number of years and I don't remember it being a great web design mag then so I'm looking forward to getting my first edition of my new subscription to it so I can join in your discussions :)

.net has changed completely over the last couple of years, reinventing itself. It has gone from being a bit of a comic for games enthusiasts to being the best professional web design paper magazine on the stand.
