Sorry Francis, I couldn't manage 7 days:
- I have got used to my Google toolbar being top left and Mozilla made it too short
- I use a lot of .pdf files and Mozilla does not open them
- the tabbed windows function, which appeals to me, did not seem to operate

Interesting about the PDF files. Did it not open any or was it every single one? Having a quick search on "Firebird PDF" didn't bring up anything obvious, but I did notice that this document (http://www.ibphoenix.com/downloads/qsg.pdf) wouldn't open in Moz or Opera but would in IE. All of the other PDFs on the Google results page worked fine, so maybe that's a misconfigured server (IE does a great "guess the MIME type" thing). I've never had a problem with PDFs.
Tabbed browsing didn't operate. Weird - I'll have to install it and have a look.

Heck - a pre-8am post from Francis! Phil thinks it might be necessary to install Adobe after Mozilla - I prefer this to his other theory about my technical capabilities.

That might be the fix. You have to also install a Netscape/Moz/Opera version of the Flash player as the IE one won't work. I may well have done that with the PDF reader but had forgotten about it.
I'm no good at mornings - I'd much prefer to start late and work late than get up early. Oh, and siestas should be law!
