Article Marketing

Has anyone considered Article Marketing as a way of boosting SEO? I just had a look at the Article Marketer (http://www.articlemarketer.com/) site. When I've looked at this stuff before, it has been with a view to using content and the quality has always seemed poor to me. But from the other side (being a content author) it does seem to have some advantages. You do have to buy into the scheme but there could be benefits.

Any thoughts?
