Just a rumour (http://www.macosx.com/content/article.php?cid=53), but it looks quite a well formed one. If true, it's going to be a nice bit of hardware.

Has anyone tried XP Media Centre edition (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/) or a Pace Set Top Box (http://www.pace.co.uk/paceproducts/product.asp?section=DT&product=195) which offer comparable functions? The Pace box is said to be coming out this summer with a programme guide and hard drive. Since they are based in Saltaire I have a sentimental attraction to Pace. Titus Salt was a Victorian idealist and industrialist who provided his workers with good housing, a concert hall, a music hall and a public park.

...or this MSI Mega PC (http://web6.scan.co.uk/Products/Info.asp?WPID=67477) which is meant to sit in your living room as your entertainment centre.
I'd love for Apple to bring out something to do it better, though I think that rumour's been knocking around for a while. Until then I shall make do with plugging my Wifi Powerbook into my hifi instead.

Ah, Phil's changed his avatar, and just in time for this: Apple are opening a store in Regent Street in time for Christmas (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/51/35551.html). Finally an excuse to go to London other than gigs.
