I've just been invited to be a Workcircle affiliate. It seems like a good idea and they pay a reasonable click-through rate and it suits the profile of my site. I'm just a little wary of using Workcircle ads on the same page as AdSense. They claim that there's no conflict but I wonder if Google will see it that way.

What do you think?

Are you worried because Google insist they are the only contextual advertising programme on a page?

If so, they relaxed that rule about a year ago: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/015066.html

Thanks James, that change to the Google T&C completely missed me. So, providing that they look different and cannot be confused for Google ads, the workcircle thing is fine.

As a follow-up. I signed up and tested their "widget" at CADTutor. The generated code was missing a closing div tag, which broke my layout and the links were full of unencoded ampersands ("&" instead of "&"), which caused a validation failure.

I have reported back to them and said that I will give their scheme a trial if they fix the problems.

Interestingly, after my correspondence with them, their AdSense ad appeared on my homepage. They are obviously targeting my site. Not a problem for me because targeted clicks are more valuable.
