They're coming thick and fast this week.
This time, a SEO person has emailed me. He has two sites, let's call them Site A and Site B.
"I will link Site A to your site. You link your site to Site B. This way, they are one-way links and not reciprocal links so are better."
Hmm. At face value this makes sense. Until you look at the Page Ranks. Site A has PR0. Site B has PR4. So the link from Site A is not valuable. Site A's PR will not increase, because of all the mugs who are linking to B (whose PR will grow).
Site A has been well designed but is simply a link dump with very little content otherwise. Site B is an ecommerce site. I wonder if the site owner knows about the underhand techniques of his SEO person?
