Are there any other trackers other than Google Analytics, e.g. ones for Yahoo and MSN?

If yes, can you end up being penalised for using more than one on your site?

I thought about this as it is great having the Overture Keywords Tool but then Google hasn't got one (that I have found). It seems that neither have a complete package of tools to use (please correct me if this is not the case!)

Google Analytics provides visitor data for your entire site, so you don't actually need one for Yahoo and MSN really.

However, Google Analytics does integrate nicely with Google AdWords Pay-Per-Click, and does not integrate with Yahoo Search Marketing or MSN AdCenter. Is this why you were asking?

Overture exists to help you research keywords for adverts for the Yahoo Search Marketing Pay Per Click system, although it can be used as a general research tool. Remember to select UK only data if your website is aimed at UK visitors.

Actually Google DOES have a similar system but you can only access it if you are an AdWords advertiser. It will predict how many clicks you would get for certain words and phrases which can give a clue as to search trends on Google.

Also worth considering is Wordtracker.com, although I have been disappointed with it as it is hugely US-biased and the UK data it has is such a small sample size I feel it is not useful. My company subscribed to Wordtracker last year but I won't be recommending renewing.

To answer your question, you won't get penalised for using more than one tracker. It's your site and up to you what services you use to manage it. I use Google Analytics, AW Stats (provided by my host) and I have recently added Quantcast analytics too.

Hope this helps.
