Well, it's certainly not innovative, in fact it looks like it was designed about 3 years ago. It is clear with very little text (their demographic?) but it's not a site I would visit for news.

I rarely visited the old site, so not sure what changes are now in place. I find Sky News a bit "tabloidy" so I'll stay firmly with the BBC News website.

I did use both Sky News and BBC as they usually had a few different stories between them.

Will not be using Sky anymore, takes too long to load and as David said - where is the text?
