The UoG recently pointed us to Webquest (http://webquest.sdsu.edu/). The homepage is based on a design theme from Mondrian (http://images.google.com/images?q=mondrian&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search), though his brilliant composition is clumsily handled. Though I am much in favour of drawing inspiration from artists, and Mondrian would seem a good choice, I have seen several sites based on his kind of design and they never work. Apart from getting the colours and composition wrong, text destroys the purity of his work.
The Webquest site aims to incorporate web searching into the teaching curriculum. The UK Webquest (http://www.webquestuk.org.uk/) site might be a good link to provide for Bentley School. I suppose its a sort of public WebCT on which teachers can post Powerpoint presentations for general use.
PS: I guess I'll get another telling off from David for putting this post in the wrong place. When I started looking at Webquest I thought it was more about searching.
