The US Patent and Trademark office has invalidated Eloas' claim (http://news.com.com/2100-1023_3-5171073.html?tag=nefd_top) that it invented the method of embedding content that sparked the massive MS lawsuit (see content in this earlier post (http://www.websitearchitecture.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=104)).
It's a preliminary decision, but one that looks as though it will hold. Macromedia certainly think so: a colleague of mine signed up to their newslist on the subject (MM obviously had a massive stake in this as it affected the Flash player) and got a mail from them this week saying that 1: the list was being discontinued 2: MM had pulled all content relating to the issue off their site.
