Just wanted to enthuse about The Sunday Times - does anyone else buy it? I get it every week and read it cover to cover, most sections, although I'm not so keen on the magazines.

In particular, the Business, Money and News Review sections always contain loads of interesting Web stuff.

Here's a scan of David Hewson's weekly column where he discusses online marketing and pop-ups. I particularly liked his summary of how the BBC website is funded - "a poll tax on the British public to pay for excellent web services that are then given away free to the entire world"!

Slightly off topic for the forum, but a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday!

I read it too, except for disposing of the adverts, the Appointments, the Funday Times and the Sport on the way home from the shop. I am sorry they have reduced the size of the Doors Section, which is about my third port of call in the paper. Did you see that section about a weblog which is to be turned into a book? I think it was the log of a prostitute and the reviewer suggests that like most books of this kind (eg Forever Amber) is really the work of a middle-aged man in a raincoat.

Extra note: I found the blog. Its Belle de Jour (http://belledejour-uk.blogspot.com/) and if you look up the Sunday Times website (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,2086,00.html) before next Sunday you can search for the article about her blog. They have done some crafty coding to stop me copying the URL for you.

Belle adds a new dimension to the prospect of 'monetizing content'.
