Sexy Web Design (http://www.sitepoint.com/books/sexy1/) by Elliot Jay Stocks is a relatively new book from Sitepoint. I bought a copy when it was first published because it looked so useful and I wasn't wrong. Despite the name (obviously an exercise in promotion), this is a really good book that focusses on the process of web design with the emphasis on the word "design". It offers a design method and begins with the principle that a web page is an interface and that in effect, web designers are interface designers.

All excellent and it will be appearing on a course reading list next year.
