I understand that Stuart has been using the WebCT shell to provide access to materials for the Website Planning course.

What do you all think of WebCT?

David, we can't access Web CT!

Stuart said he would sort it out this week hopefully.

Cheers,

Good news (I think!). The reason why no one could access WebCT is that although you were all registered on the programme, you were not attached to this course (or any other course, it would appear - I have yet to get to the bottom of this).

I have been promised that everyone will be attached to the relevant courses by the end of this afternoon. I then have to make sure that registration is continued through to WebCT, which I will try to do on Monday.

As they say in Glasgow, intae their heids!

Further developments.

Everyone has now been registered onto the Website Planning course (and the other courses, I assume). My understanding is that on Monday morning, the Banner database will be interogated and any students added to courses will be recognised by WebCT and automatically added to the appropriate WebCT courses - I wait with baited breath!

I will try and check on Monday, but that is another day I am teaching from 9.00 - 5.00.

Och aye the noo!

For the pendants among us, my last message should of course read "bated breath".

Just can't get the staff.

Oops! sorry, didn't mean to intrude on private greif. Perhaps you can all let us know what you think about WebCT once you've been there.

I have already posted a message on the Web Planning board confirming that all students seem to have been attached to the Web Planning course on WebCT. I assume all students have also been attached to the other courses.

Unfortunately, WebCT has not improved since last week, it's still crap!

All the best,

Stuart
