Just came across this excellent article on Boxes and Arrows (http://www.boxesandarrows.com) by Sarah Horton, she of the Web Style Guide (http://www.webstyleguide.com/).

In the article she wonders if web design is all about delighting the eye (as traditional design fields are) or whether it's a different thing altogether. This is a must read article. I'd be interested to know what you think.

That is a good article. She brings up some points that Nielsen has also mentioned (users don't notice tag lines, well thought out logos etc, which is maybe arguable), but mainly this is yet another powerful argument for getting your head around CSS.

Well implemented CSS gives both the site owner and the user immense control over the site (but more about this from me next week).
