prepare to be amazed...

My housemate promises me that he is a fantastic cobbler, but I am still trying to find a redeeming feature about the website!
It also has 85 errors and 24 warnings when put through the html validator.
It really is a fantastic example of what happens when you ignore typography, layout, imagery and colour. And why is the background flashing??
Enjoy ;)

The background does not seem to be flashing on my Mac, but some of the html and/or css is appearing....

I vaguely remember we are suppose to come up with some 'bad' websites. Here is my first example (http://www.dokimos.org/ajff/) which you will never forget.

Isn't the web an egalitarian information space? Are these sites really bad or just indicators that anyone can publish?

Absolutely, I think the web is wonderful for allowing so many people, from all around the world (although we know the inequality there) to express themselves. However, that doesn't mean we have to forgive bad taste. If you want to be one of those who expresses themselves, expect feedback.
We have to have crits after all!

I go back to my same position, do these sites achieve their implicit aim?

The cobblers background would be OK for 5th Nov but on any other day of the year it would be just a load of old ........
But I quite like the text on the about page and the whole site reminds me of the supposed principle of Indian grocers that it is better to look shabby because then people will believe your prices will be low.

You are so right, my housemates are actually on their way to this man now as he is the best around at the best price!
Maybe I was too quick to judge, this site is a great advert!
