Here are the sites which I've found useful to support my colour scheme choice, but there are plenty more.
kuler (http://kuler.adobe.com/#themes/rating?time=0)
COLOURlovers (http://www.colourlovers.com/)
Color Scheme Designer 3 (http://colorschemedesigner.com/)
Color Wheel (http://www.ficml.org/jemimap/style/color/wheel.html)

Hey Stewart,
Here's a good one. It even lets you preview the colour scheme in a template so you can see how it would work.

On the same subject - who owns colour? Check this out (http://sixrevisions.com/web_design/color-the-next-limited-resource/).

Ha! Stewart.... I just realised I recommended the same site as you! I found it through Google and it helped pick the colours for my B&B site. Great minds eh?

Hey Stewart,
Do you remember the other day you said you found a website with lots of tacky wallpapers on? What was the URL? I need a tacky wallpaper, preferably in PINK, yes PINK! for my website makeover!

Like that site Stewart. One of my faves:

Great for chintzy backgrounds. And this one's (http://www.wallpaperdirect.co.uk/wdimages/collection397.jpg) good for a B&B website!

Perhaps better for lining card board boxes than putting on websites! lol

Also, have a look at the colour picker in iStockphoto's advanced search
What is color search and how do I use it?
"The iStockphoto search engine automatically creates an average color profile for each image in the database. Clicking on a color in the ‘Simple’ bar searches for images that match this profile in order of relevance. You may search for more specific colors by choosing from the RGB or HSV palettes, underneath the default ‘Simple’ bar."
Finding photographs with harmonious colours can be a big help in setting a colour scheme.
