It is interesting that Amazon feel the need to provide a subsite for shoes

Why are they doing it? The Javari is another South American river but not many people know this.

Amazon shares stood at $35 a year ago and are now at $121. The policy has been 'expanding its selection, keeping customers ecstatic, growing internationally'. By comparison, eBay has taken a big hit - and in my experience customer service from Amazon is vastly better than at eBay.

The Sunday Times reports that Amazon is thinking of opening retail stores, on a 'Click and Collect' basis.
