This pub is near my work and we often use it for informal client meetings for our bosses (and also for our own drinking needs!). And I went on to find the food menu as we were planning an event.
FIRSTLY, how much did I appreciate the stupid joke noises coming from my work computer, with no option to turn them off? Not at all.
Secondly, why did I have to wait for several animations to find the food menu? How was I supposed to realise that the old man with the machine meant I was about to get the option to download the food menu?
Thirdly, why do I have to 'launch' the website in a new window, it crashed my computer
Fourthly, why make a website based entirely on images that Google has no hope of indexing. Thats right, it was only because I saw the website advertised in the pub I knew it had one.
Fifthly, beautiful illustrations, so much potential, LOVE when the oxford tube and bond street tube come flying along, but its SO unecessary. As a user I was lost, confused, spend ages clicking the pully thing in the corner and generally outraged.
Great idea, poorly executed.
