I can't decide which art movement influenced Stylist Magazine, can someone help. I can feel some inspiration for Getting Lippy (http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk/forum/www.gettinglippy.co.uk) coming on...

Thank you!

Hmm. What makes you think the magazine design is influenced by a particular art movement?

I think you should go for something a bit more sassy. Free magazines (and newspapers) tend to lack personality as they are just trying to gain lots of readers rather than having a very well defined target audience.

I would look at the weeklies (Heat, Closer, Grazia etc). Personally, I hate them as low-level filth, but lots of younger girls with 'attitude' love them. Think, naughty girl in the class, think, personality, think the sort of girl you like to get drunk with. No one wants to get drunk with Stylist. She is just too, dull.

Good point - love the imagery but would you imagine having an entertaining evening with Ms.Stylist - I can't imagine her putting her make-up on in the tube... In fact I'm not sure she would wish to travel with the riff-raff!!

My plan is, go in fiercly with the photography (its going to be my friends after all!) and enjoy some girly elements in the design. If drunk feminists like a swirly pattern every now and then!
