Another reason to love Moz and/or Firefox: the Flashblock extension (http://flashblock.mozdev.org/). It blocks all Flash content on a page and replaces it with a placeholder. If you want to play a Flash movie then just click on the placeholder. No more Flash banner ads for me :D Can you hug software?

Interestingly, Wired have just published "a tightwad's guide to ad blocking" (http://www.wired.com/news/infostructure/0,1377,63442,00.html/wn_ascii) which mentions, amongst others, my new Flashblock best friend. Which is ironic, as I used to hate reading Wired articles as they include some exceptionally annoying Flash ads. How strange of them to publish that artilcle - their advertisers must be loving them...
If you're interested, this is what all embedded Flash content looks like in my Moz now, unless I specifically want to play it:

No sound interrupting my iTunes, no animation distracting my reading and with Moz's excellent popup blocking and a "block all images from this server" right-click function, I'm drastically reducing the crud I have to put up with when surfing.
IE still good for you guys?

Ah, but what "Unknown Pleasures" are you missing? Do you think Ian Curtis uses Moz in heaven?

The unknown pleasures of Flash banner ads? Nope, I can't see that there are any. You'd have to be a suicidal depressive not to use Moz. Oh...
