This "observing the user experience" book (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1558609237/ref=sr_aps_books_1_1/026-6467472-7847601) has been been getting good reviews both on Boxes And Arrows (http://www.boxesandarrows.com/archives/observing_the_user_experience_a_practitioners_guid e_to_user_research.php) and Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1558609237/ref%3Dnosim/boxesandarrows-20/102-8650569-3015369). Some of the content may be of use to us for the thesis project next year, as well as other projects. It does seem to be rather good, which is a shame as my "wheening off Amazon" was going so well. I've just pre-ordered this (http://www.simplebits.com/publications/solutions/), which I probably don't need, but it looks good and the guy has written some fine stuff before (http://www.simplebits.com/publications/).
