Hey guys,

This is probably more for David and my intake... but A list apart have just released an amazingly good book called HTML 5 for web designers.

I'm quarter of the way through and seem to be getting to grips with it pretty quickly although I'm not actually coding anything in it yet. Check it out:

There's also one coming for CSS3 too. Can't wait :)

Hi thanks for this also check out Introducing html 5 by Remy Sharp and Bruce Lawson - good book - the latter part of the book gets a bit messy as they get into geolocation and drag and drop (examples bit daunting to follow) but worth buying for the early sections www.newriders.com (http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk/forum/www.newriders.com)

Yes, excellent book - I read it a couple of weeks ago and it gives a very good (quick and simple) introduction to the main concepts behind HTML5 and gives enough information to convert simple sites. I'm currently working through the Sharp/Lawson book and I entirely agree with Casey.
