I did a search on Google for Kazaa Lite, as a friend wanted to know where to get it. It's a hacked version of Kazaa with all the adware removed and it fools the P2P network into thinking you are a power user with loads to share (when actually you don't have to share anything, you can just take!)
Kazaa's owners, Sharman Networks, are a legitimate business (even though their product is used for illegal file sharing). Although Kazaa is free, they make money from the adware bundled with it. They are annoyed that their software was hacked (taste of their own medicine?) and made Google remove sites that offer Kazaa Lite from its database.
If you search on Google, for Kazaa Lite, scroll down to the bottom of the results and see their statement about missing links. I've never seen this before.

PS - I use Kazaa Lite for downloading music I want to try before I buy. If I like something I go and buy it on vinyl or CD.
