Classic example of "mystery meat" navigation - the GIFs at the top left are the navigation - I missed them completely on my first visit.

That's bad, but you want to check out the relaunched (yesterday) Allmusicguide site at: http://www.allmusic.com . The old site is still at http://allmusic.com
In 2004, some monkey decided to rebuild a huge site only for IE5.5 and 6 on Windows. You get a lovely message if you're not on one of those:
Notice: You are accessing allmusic.com with a browser that is not currently supported. The appearance and functionality of the site could be impacted. allmusic.com is optimized for Internet Explorer 5.5 and above for Windows.
Reaction so far hasn't been good: Metafilter (http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/34295) and Waxy (http://www.waxy.org/archive/2004/07/12/new_all_.shtml) give a goodly amount of comments.
AMG seem to have ignored all kinds of things such as links coded using just JavaScript that can't be opened in new windows/tabs. Their advice is:
the best way to open links in a new window is by pressing CTRL + N (APPLE + N on Macintosh) and clicking on the desired link in the new window. Although a little unorthodox, it’s just as easy and convenient
WHAT?!
In IE5, there's a JS error on page load, and in the new releases righthand sidebar, all of the links (including "buy") change the cursor to act like links, but don't work. So, you can't buy anything from them.
And what's with the ad banner right above all of their content?
