Hi, new MA people!
I'm Priscilla and I'm really looking forward to the course, as I have wanted to make a career change from teaching for a few years! I have a bit of an obsessive eye for design and can't wait to start designing web sites, although I'm slightly more apprehensive  about the more technical bits. Hope I start remembering names and get to know you all soon :)

Hi,
I'm Vladislav (Vlad) and I have just graduated BEng Computer Science in University of Edinburgh. I have done a Computer Graphics and an Animation course but there was not much design involved. I have been looking into design on my own for some time now with the help of photoshop. I am looking forward to learning more about Web Design for this Programme and hopefully turn it into a career. I have to say that creating web sites has been a dream of mine since High school, so this is very exciting for me.

Aiming to start an online business at the end of the course so I'm here to improve on what I already know. Was good to meet some of you and look forward to working with you guys this year.

Good to chat to a few more of you on Wednesday.
I've come to the course via a degree in Visual Communication/Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art and a position as an SEO Consultant for a web design company. So hopefully I will be able to marry the two together with a bit of coding knowledge.
I'm new to London as well, so if anyone has any great places to recommend I should go/things to see I'd love to hear them.
See you all at the presentations next week.

Hello everyone.
I'm Sara from Portugal. I finished my degree in Communication Technologies where I had contact with 3D animation, short movies and web design. Since my degree gave me knowledge in a wide spread of areas, I was able to find the one that I liked the most. So, I decided to develop my knowledge in the Web Design area.
I moved to London 2 weeks ago, but I am yet to discover this wonderful city. I'll have time for that. (I hope!)
I really liked the class on Wednesday and I am with great expectations for what is coming. See you all soon.

Hi Gals and Gents!
I am Yannis from Greece and I have a degree in Graphic Design. Even though it was interesting enough, I felt the urge to follow what fascinates me more, Web Design. Being in our first lesson (or class whatever!) I felt so excited that the program has finally begun!
I' m sure this year will be a remarkable one for me.
See you all soon!

Hello all. Just to reintroduce, my name is Alison and I come to this course after many years in journalism and a career break to have my family. My degree was in journalism and psychology and I'm hoping some of the skills I learned from my years as a sub editor will transfer well to web design. That said, it's taken me a couple of goes just to get into this forum, so the technology is already baffling me! Some of my friends have said, most unkindly: "What are you doing that for? It's a young person's thing!"
I have ignored them. I think I'm going to love it. Looking forward to mingling with you bright, young things - and hoping some of it will rub off!

Well the course is also called content planning. I guess that is where you will excel. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and we should draw on our strengths. I think where everyone will really benefit is when we can learn from each other and I hope this will happen voluntary.

Hi everyone,
I'm a recent fine art graduate, got into web design towards the end of my course when I made my online portfolio. Really looking foward to learning about design as I'm coming at this with a more arty perspective. Also want to build on my technical knowledge which is at the amateur/self-taught end of things.
See you all at the presentations in about 15mins!

Hi guys,
I have just graduated from a BA Animation Production, which I enjoyed but I felt that I would l like to broaden my knowledge. I felt that web design was the right area for me as I have always had an interest in it and I really enjoyed it in a Multimedia course that I did before I started animation. I also think that my hobbies would go with it very well e.g. photography and animation.
I have very much enjoyed talking to everybody that I have met so far and I am really looking forward to getting to know everybody else :)

Hi,
My name is Nadia and I'm originally from Belarus. I've been travelling around a lot and have been in London for slightly over four years now, having just finished my BA in Graphic Design. I have taught myself Web Design & Development when I was 16 and have since been freelancing in it. Last two years I have been concentrating on my BA and have neglected my Web Design to some extent. I am really looking forward to learning more about the business side of Web Design and everything else, as well as polishing up my existing skills.
It was really nice to meet all of you :) and those who I haven't had a chance to speak to yet looking forward to it!! See you all soon!

Hi, it's Pui here, one of the completing students from last year. It was really nice to meet you all yesterday, you're going to have a blast!
Just to let you know that I came into the course with Zero knowledge of coding or design. (My degree was in Law, same as Jena). The year has involved a lot of hard work and dedication but it's definitely paid off and has been such a journey :)
Enjoy yourselves, and if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help ><

Its Richard here. The course feels great the people even better. I am excited to be part of this group. I can see a very enjoyable but difficult year ahead. I only have a technical / engineering background - I suppose very far removed from Web design - but then so is my job in Housing. I look forward to working with you all.

Hey All :D
Great to see you all on the forum and lovely to read all about you. I'm Annalise and I'm really looking forward to this course too. I have a degree is in Information and Library studies which brought me to work full time for the Ministry of Defence in a Researcher role 5 years ago and by turn of happy events as their Web Services Manager. I manage their Intranet and www.mod.uk (http://www.mod.uk/) site. I joined this course as I love working with websites and I can't wait to learn more about the back-end coding and design aspects of websites and be able to build a great (all being well!) site from start to finish!
See you all on Wednesday!
