How do I add a Link to a Post?
Adding a link to a post is very useful, especially if you are recommending websites that other forum users should visit. It’s also very easy to do.
Start a new post as usual and type a message. When you want to add a link, simply click the LINK button http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk/watson/postimages/b-link.gif and the following text will be added to your message:
http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk/watson/postimages/link01.gif
All you need to do is replace the “url” bit with the address of the webpage you want to link to and then replace the “description” bit with the text that you would like to appear in the message. For example, the message text shown below…
http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk/watson/postimages/link02.gif
…would result in a link like this: Website Architecture Home Page (http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk)
You can add as many links as you like to a single post.
Tip: You can add a link without using the LINK button. All you need to do is type out the link message text yourself, taking care to get the syntax right.
