The Firefox 1.0 launch is to be anounced in a full page spread in the New York times on the 9th of November. If you stump up $30 your contribution goes towards the add and future development - and you get your name listed on the page. (Wouldn't that look great framed and hanging on your wall)

According to ZDNet (http://news.zdnet.co.uk/0,39020330,39171178,00.htm) they got all the money they needed within the first three days.

Any takers? Francis?

Yep, I forked out the $30 to get my name in the NYTimes. I need to find a newsagent that stocks it, although you do get a high quality PDF sent to you on the day of publication as well.

As a side note, the official launch date is awful - typical of Americans only thinking about themselves. The date is the 9th of November which, in US format would be 11/9. For other countries, it's obviously very different. People have been asking for it to be changed, but so far, nothing.

Published today, a two page spread FF advert in the NY Times (http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=taxonomy/page/or/26). My name is in the E of Firefox - the ad is also available as a PDF. FF has now had over 11 million downloads since 9 November, which is pretty amazing.
