Hello

I am using Norton Internet Security 2005 which on the whole works well, allowing me control over which programs access the internet etc.

However, I have a problem with Smart FTP. Despite Smart FTP showing in Norton as "Permit All" I cannot connect to any of my webspaces with Norton on, I have to disable it (far from ideal).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers

There should be a 'passive mode' in Smart FTP. Try enabling that.

I'm running NIS2004 and SmartFTP withou any problem. As far as I can remember, NIS automatically configured SmartFTP the first time it ran and there was no need to make any specific changes to those settings. Maybe the 2005 version is a little more agressive.

While we're on the subject - check out the Bentley School site with NIS enabled. Can you see the banner at the top of each page?
