I hope no one is forgetting Robert Pirsig, the Zen of motorcycle maintenance or the Zen of Websites. Here is a note on the Satori (enlightenment) (http://sped2work.tripod.com/satori.html) which should come with a successful design experience - and an attractive use of 'flash' on a website!
And here is the link to the website which discusses the Zen of web sites (http://www.tlc-systems.com/webtips.shtml).
'Zen' is the Japanese version of the Chinese word Ch'an, meaning meditation. It travelled to China, from India (in the 6th century) and from China to Japan (in the 12th century). Zen masters used to teach archery so that a bowman could hit the target 'without aiming', meditation having made success instinctive. Not a bad goal for website architects, but it requires the knowledge and skill which come from art, meditation, constant practice and a quest for perfection. It's a pity the designer of the satori page is insufficiently enlightened to know that his topic can be applied to typography.
