Tom, I just did a Google on "humphry repton" and out of the 6,470 results, your site came out top. Congratulations!

I also see that your homepage has a page rank of 5/10.

Whatever you're doing is obviously working ;)

I also picked this (http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/gard_3/hd_gard_3.htm) up, which I thought might be of interest to you. It's a really good site - both in terms of design and content. See the timeline of art history (http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/splash.htm) - excellent resource.

Thanks. I'm a little worried about the homepage rank. It touched 7/10 for a short while and is slipping. But I think only about 10% of visitors come in through the homepage. Since the number of pageviews/day is fairly constant I guess the 'problem' is just that more and more sites are coming online every second.

The MMA site is good - but I think the garden content must have been written by a Frenchman. They always come up with that rubbish about Chinese gardens being a significant factor in the 'change from formality'. It is historical and philosophical rubbish!
