That is ridiculous. Firstly they have to tell what links look like, secondly the difference in colour between a link and normal text is minimal. People with poor eyesite would really struggle with that. What's the point in badging up the fact that you've produced valid XHTML and CSS when something as fundamentally basic as that is wrong. Layout is broken in everything other than IE.
