I'm surprised there have been no other posts against his thread David, thank you for the link. I believe there is some very usefull information on this site, one just has to dig for it. For instance, a link to Jacob Neilson's "Ten Usability Heuristics" covering heuristic evaluation (http://www.useit.com/papers/heuristic/) . Just one of many jewels on this site.

Wow, I'd forgotten about that site. There is some very useful stuff there. Take a look at the Navigation Samples page (http://www.edtech.vt.edu/edtech/id/interface/navigate.html)for example.
