Website Project Crit

Hey guys I recently have started working on a new site. It is for my uncle, who wants a website for his business - just a simple one. It is a business for selling lighting fixtures. I have begun designing from the gallery page with all products showcased and that is all I have for now.

Please check my progress and share what you think. Your opinion is extremely valuable to me so please crit away :P Keep in mind that the page is not complete of course.

Really nice concept Vlad. I really like the navigation (the hover state is sooo cool). I was wondering if the background isn't a bit too much (it didn't seat well with me). It might be the contrast or maybe the pattern, but something feels off. Looks like you were thinking of light rays but they are just diagonal lines not originating from a single source.

Yes I have been thinking about that. I am just using tiled image - was the easy way to do it.

hello Vlad, I agree with Uzoma. The hover effect in the navigation bar and also the products selection is definitely on for me. I am not sure about the yellow on gray background

Hi yeah I really like the site great to click on the products! :) Maybe introduce another colour into the background?
