Now this is a good tool (http://yagoohoogle.com/), but I can see the lawyers getting it soon. Searching for something brings back a split page of Google's and Yahoo's results for comparison.

If they would do I toolbar I would convert.
PS Please let me know if/when there is a proper (=full-length) Google toolbar for Firefox. I am having extra annoyance from IE's popup blocker - it blocks the Photoshop help system.

Hi. Nope, still no official Google toolbar for FF. Interestingly the Google toolbar page (http://toolbar.google.com/googlebar.html) is actually recommending the free FF extension that's not even developed by them (http://googlebar.mozdev.org/)! All very strange when you consider that Yahoo have a Firefox toolbar (http://toolbar.yahoo.com/firefox) and that Google have gone to the effort of developing a search pre-fetching thing (http://www.google.com/help/features.html#prefetch) for Firefox and Mozilla as well as Firefox's own branded home page (http://www.google.co.uk/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official), but aren't porting over their own toolbar.

Interesting to see the large difference in results on this search (http://yagoohoogle.com/search.php?q=altavista+lycos) in both Yahoo! and Google. Google worried about something?
Also, interesting article in The Guardian about Y! and G (http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/story/0,3605,1448381,00.html). Looks like G have some serious competition on their hands. For those that don't know the reference, this is jumping the shark (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumped_the_shark). Not cool!
