I've been asked if we would crit this site. I believe comments will be considered carefully so let me know what you think. Although, at time of writing, I'm unable to get past the home page.

Got off the homepage once but got an empty page! Will feed back when it's working.

1) the graphic design is OK
2) fixed columns waste screen space
3) but maybe wasting space is not an issue if there is so little real content on the website [the only good content is by one Robert Holden]
4) they SEO strategy does not exist, but see 3) above
5) the images are excellent but convey the message that landscape architects are mainly concerned with historic gardens
6) I can't see why they need a sponsor for this site
7) SUMMARY: the website seems pointless and therefore ignores the first principle of website planning: you have to sort out what the business of the website really is. Those who took the Content Management course will remember that we found the same problem with the Church of England website!
