Just used http://www.top25web.com/pagerank.php to check out the "friends of MAWA" websites' Google Page Rank:

http://www.cadtutor.net 5
http://www.gardenvisit.com 5
http://www.websitearchitecture.co.uk 5
http://www.longplayer.co.uk 5
http://www.freedigitalphotos.net 3
http://www.zombielore.com 3
http://www.southeastart.co.uk 2
http://www.giglondon.info 0

My comments:

I thought Cadtutor and Gardenvisit would be higher, as they appear high in related word searches.

I am surprised at how high Websitearchitecture.co.uk is, unless David has been doing a lot of SEO?

Longplayer is high as well - my perception is that it has not been marketed yet, but it's been around for years.

Freedigitalphotos is about what I was expecting although Zombielore is the same. Based on the different AdSense incomes reported by Phil and I (http://www.websitearchitecture.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=726&st=0&#entry3491), I expected I would be higher.

Southeastart - again I don't think JG has started an SEO blitz yet so 2 is not bad.

Giglondon - as expected, with just a holding page at the mo.

Anyone else got any theories?

The trouble with these figures is that they are only for the Page Rank of the homepage. My homepage seems rather unimportant - not many people go there and not many click there. Given the importance of the LONG TAIL what matters is how many pages on a site have a decent Page Rank. Do you know of any software which calculates an aggregate for the Page Rank of a site.

The page rank for competitor pages is also important. For example, my page on Austrian Gardens has a Page Rank of 4 - but I come top on Google searches for these terms. This applies to a lot of pages on my site and seems to me more important than the Page Rank of my homepage.
