Apparently just out in the states, Coke Zero (http://cokezero.com/) is Coke with zero calories (is that possible?). Initial reports are that it tastes better than Diet Coke and more like "full fat" Coke.

The site is the usual large corporate advertising thing in that it's all Flash based, but it is rather well done, although the link to Coke's World Chill site (http://www.worldchill.com/content.html) in a new window is a little annoying.

It may not contain much but it does contain Phenylalanine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenylalanine) and as this website (http://www.sweetpoison.com/phenylalanine.html) points out, that may not be a good thing. One thing for certain is that I will not be feeding it to my kids.

I'm not a food crank but Coke and kids just don't mix - if you're after a relatively quiet life that is.

I don't know if you saw Jamie's School Dinners, but that was a jaw-dropping eye opener. No matter what your opinion on Mr Oliver if you've got school-aged kids, you need to watch it. It's actually out on DVD now from all the usual places.
