Well, we've all been using that lovely web developer toolbar for Firefox for a while now - a fantastic resource and Microsoft obviously think so too because they've just released a beta developer toolbar for IE 6/7. I haven't had a look at it yet but I will. You can find it here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e59c3964-672d-4511-bb3e-2d5e1db91038&displaylang=en).
...later.
Well it's still very much a beta product, doesn't have the usual MS slick feel about it yet but it does have some nice features. It very much covers the same ground as the Firefox toolbar but takes a couple of the ideas a little further. It has quite a nice DOM explorer pane where you can see a heirarchical layout of the current page. It's not as intuitive as the FF one and so I won't be swapping yet but it does at least mean that there is a toolbar for both browsers.
As you may be aware, this is a joint venture between MS and the Web Standards Project - see announcement here (http://www.webstandards.org/buzz/archive/2005_09.html). See here (http://chrispederick.com/blog/2005/09/19/internet-explorer-developer-toolbar/) for more information and review.
