Last Thursday the new .mobi top level domains became available after the end of the "sunrise" period. I did consider claiming cadtutor.mobi during the sunrise period but at a cost of £30 plus VAT per year, it seemed a little steep. After the end of the sunrise period the price fell to just £14.99 per year and although I don't know what I'll do with it yet, I thought I might as well have it. Maybe the mobile web will really take off in a few years time when the cost of mobile web access comes down. Anyway, I feel that my brand is protected and I didn't have to spend a fortune to do it.
