I've often thought that it would be useful to have a list of FF extensions/add ons that people have installed. There are so many that there's bound to be cool ones that we've missed. Here's mine:

Adblock plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1865/) (blocks almost every advert on every web page - makes the web a much nicer place to be)
British English Dictionary (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/dictionaries/?lang=en-US) (for FF2's spull chocker)
Stop/reload button (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/313/) (a la Safari - why waste real estate on 2 buttons?)
ColorZilla (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/271/) (essential for web designers - use this to get HEX and RGB values straight from web pages. You can then copy that value into graphics apps, CSS pages and so-forth. Again, a massive time saver)
del.icio.us (http://del.icio.us/help/firefox/extension) (for easy bookmarking and lookups)
Download statusbar (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/26/) (nice, but not essential)
Download Them All (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/201/)(this is a massive time saver + the only extension I've donated money for. You can pick any/all the images or links on a page and download the whole lot in one go to the location of your choice. Comes with a download manager, the ability to write your own filters, and more. Essential)
Paste And Go 2 (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3035/)(this is a default feature in Opera and is fantastic when copy+pasting URLs from other browsers/documents/email/whatever. Also works as "paste and search" in the search box)
Professor X (http://www.designmeme.com/professorx/) (one-click inspection of a page's head content. The developer also has an "X-Ray" extension which is helpful, but no sign of a FF2 version yet)
Tab clicking options (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/260/) (allows you to specify actions for clicking/double clicking on tabs/toolbars etc)
Web developer (http://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/) (the essential extension for any web developer)
View Source Chart (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/655/) (I would have been lost without this recently. This extension is essential if/when you come to modifying documents with JavaScript. If, for example, you add a class to an object using JS, this extension will show you the class applied to whatever you tried to apply it to. There's a paid version of this with a couple more bits for a whopping $3. That's my next purchase.

A couple more:

Tails Export (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2240/) (for exporting Microformats. No sign of a FF2 version yet, annoyingly)
Screen grab! (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1146/) (allows the taking of full-page-length screen shots that can be saved as a single image onto the desktop. Again, no working FF2 version yet)
HTML validator (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/249/)
FireBug (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1843/) (doing JavaScript and/or DOM work? This is really, really handy)
X-Ray (http://www.designmeme.com/2006/01/06/new-firefox-extension-x-ray/) (see the HTML superimposed onto the page. On occaisions, really handy)

My brother swears by Gmail notifier (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/173/). Me, I don't want their software on my machine. I wonder how many people know this (http://www.google.com/trends/music) is turned on/forget it's on? Certainly not the people who don't mind being logged as listening to Linkin Park or James Blunt!
