Windows Vista has been released to manufacturing (http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/windowsvista/archive/2006/11/08/windows-vista-releases-to-manufacturing.aspx). I'm actually really interested to see what it's like after so many years of hype and counter-snark.
Apple's Leopard (http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/index.html) is due at about the same time and it's been very quiet on that front for a while now.
Damn - I put an apostrophe in "it's".

Robert Fripp came up with the start-up jingle for Vista (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15656246/) and, to be honest, it ain't all that great. Looks like Robert Scoble has a point (http://scobleizer.com/2006/11/09/another-committee-takes-the-soul-out-of-robert-fripp/)...

Hmm, so I guess we'll all meet up outside PC World at midnight of the 29th.
I have to say I'm looking forward to Vista. XP is starting to feel dated and doesn't really suit the way I want to work any more. But mainly it will be more pretty.

That's what all the nay-sayers are, er, saying: there's not much extra apart from some security and purdy graphics.

Actually, I'm quite looking forward to exploring new ways of organising my files. I like some of the new ideas in Vista in that respect.
