I have a question for people who label themselves as JavaScript developers: Have you forgotten about, never heard of, or never cared about the terms progressive enhancement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_enhancement), graceful degradation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fault-tolerant_system), and Hijax (http://domscripting.com/blog/display/41)? If the answer is yes, then please tell me why.
I would also like to know whether you actually consider disregarding those best practice methods to be compatible with modern, responsible, and professional JavaScripting.
