I think Comic Sans is becoming more popular. I see no end of signage using it. Astonishing.
Could the use of the Comic Sans font in safety notices ultimately be a risk factor, since a passing web designer may look at it with disdain and ignore it?

So fortunately it's increasing popularity will render it invisible sometime soon!
On the Comic Sans theme, see the link below to another site by the creator of the original Bicycle Shop website. One of the most inappropriate uses of Comic Sans I've seen.
Sometimes a friendly font can be too friendly - Contrast: The font used by a designer for the organisations logo - fine.

That's not cool, could've at least matched the colours from the logo instead of guessing!

Yes, have to admit that use it wholly inappropriate. Terrible colours too.
