If you can afford it, I suggest you subscribe to lynda.com and check out what tutorials and videos they have. If I remember well, you can cancel your subscription if you are not satisfied within a short period. Or you can try it for just a month, it just costs about $25 if i am not wrong.
Otherwise, you can always go and check what Joomla books that UoG have in libraries, but I don't know if they are better than this one you have.
Lynda.com is available for free from the 2nd floor Tower labs. Don't pay anything!
