Anyone an Illustrator expert?
Just trying to add a texture to the swatches panel so I can fill vector drawings with it. Followed these simple steps:

Open the File menu and select “Place.” Locate the file you want to use in the browser pop-up and double-click it. Illustrator places it in the currently active canvas. Drag and drop the image into the Swatches panel. The image is converted into a texture, but the texture is only available in the current document.
But when I try to drag the image into the swatches panel it just 'dings' and wont work - no error message. Another online tutorial warns that you can't drag and drop in Placed images, so what can I drag and drop in?
